How many shells do you take to the blind? I like to always have 2 boxes in the blind bag. Sometimes Im lucky to get my limit with those, and sometimes Ill limit, and only have shot 10 shells. How many do you take and how many does it take you to get your limit. And nobody say 6 lol.

If it takes you more than 10 you need to stop sky blasting and get them into the dekes.

I'll bring a full box plus whatever is left over in my waders after the last hunt. If I can't limit out with that, I need to re-evaluate what I'm doing. Sometimes it's not being used to the increase in clothing that makes it so I don't shoulder the gun correctly. Either that or the ducks aren't decoying like I thought they would so I have to move my decoys so they are "easier" shots.

I normally. Will only take a box or less if I'm hunting solo and if I'm hunting with my buddy's ill take two boxes

I always have way too many in my blind bag. Usually a box of goose loads, a box of duck loads, and a box of extra cheap shells for cripples.

I take way too many as well.

For duck I'll take a box plus some loose shells that are probably in the bag...for geese I'll take 2. But really it depends...the bigger the group the more shots people take. What will happen is a single comes in and four people shoot at it, etc. It has nothing to do with shooting bad but that you are just shooting more.

*Special note for internet Game Wardens. This is not group limits this is shooting birds and then assigning that bird to a hunter after if falls and we ask who actually hit it. Obviously in the case of four people shooting 3 of them will always miss and only one hits it. Birds are then split up and placed by the hunter who shot them.

I'm convinced that hunters will always bring as many shells as their bag allows. Bigger bags have to be filled up with something. I'll take 3 boxes alot, but I can't remember a time I got to the bottom of the second box.

Back in AR a lot of public places have you limited to 25 shells per person, only had two hunts that I ended up having a problem staying under that. One was a ringer beatdown (crips), and the other was me being a teenager that couldn't shoot for crap that day. Happens sometimes to the best of us.

I always take a box. THe way I shot Sunday, I needed a case. I just could not keep the swing going. I am still pe'oed at me for the way I was shooting.

Depends on if I have my dog with me. I can burn through some shels chasing cripples on open water. 1-2 boxes though.

Winchester makes a 6$a box of #6's and #7.5s steel that are great for crips!

I take 20 - 25 shells per hunt.

all depends on who I am with....by myself at the most would be a box...prolly just whatever I have in my bag....you start adding other guns and I start bringing more shells

i try to keep at least 3 boxes.. mostly because I'm paranoid about forgetting them/dropping them in the mud, etc... and usually my hunting buddy doesn't bring his own and I'm too nice to not share.

I don't usually shoot at a single when im hunting in a group. Ever seen 4 guys jump up at the same time and shoot a teal feet down in the deks at 15 yds? Whatever is left sure as hell aint pretty. not to mention two of the guys were shooting 3.5s. Even the dog was like WTF man!? lol

I go 7 days a week and about every 5 I see clients run through 50 shells to get 6 ducks at 20 yards. Its a whipping to watch for sure That's about 8 strings of ducks per box for most of them. I have seen them miss ducks on the water, Miss ducks hanging like piñatas, shoot the decoy when the duck is 10 ft off the water, ive seen it all. I have one guy that shoots one shell before the gun is shouldered, then one when it hits his shoulder, then the third he actually shoots at the duck.

Yeah you are right...with a single most of the time all the people are not shooting but it's not uncommon to have more than just one shooting. That was kind of the point of this example.
