Shoot this guy, given that he is a mature deer on a small acreage plot. Obviously a broken g3. He has (acorns) on all tines and has never been seen on camera but just this past week.. Let's hear it!!! Curiosity kills the cat..

The acorns are mostly a drought condition caused defect.

Where did you get the info on this? We have one buck that has acorns on every point but brow tines, but he is the only one. I would think if it was the drought we would be seeing others.

I saw it on a program. They were discussing different antler mis-configurations. They can also be caused by injury or certain insect larvae. I know I killed one in Mo. this fall that way as well and saw several others too. This was after a wet spring but very dry summer.

I would shoot him. He is smart, looks like he showed up about 5 mins after legal shooting light. Would be 5 mins in my county this time of the year. Lol
