Going out tues-thursday to stick a few does or maybe an axis doe.

its supposed to warm up a bit mid day but sitting in that tripod is gonna be tough.

I sat in it this weekend. One sit was in a box with a small heater that kept my hands a little warm but the other sits were on the ground and it was cold. In the teens mostly but my toes are really all that was cold. The hardest part for me is no glove on my hand with the release so I have a hand muff pocket looking thing I put hot hands in and put my hands in it. I don't need a numb trigger finger to cause a bad shot after I sat there freezing for three hours.

I did. Deer didn't move at all.

Sat in a treestand. I think it was 24 when I got in yesterday evening. I would have been ok if I could have kept my toes warm. I was pretty miserable at dark.

I'm still at the lease. It's been cold and crunchy. They moved best for that short time the sun came out yesterday. My guest got his first bow kill this morning. Smoked a doe at 30 yards that only went about 40 yards.

I wish I could go but the only place I have to hunt is public and this weekend there was no way I could make it over there. Now I'm stuck on the truck for work playing catch up on all these deliveries that didn't go out fri/mon

I will head out tomorrow, but didn't make it out in the real cold. Pretty much going to warm up through the weekend.

I haven't seen many after this cold snap either. I pulled my cards from my camera's and their there but not at the times I'm there. Might have to make an all day sit and see if I can put one down.

Not a bad idea. They were moving more in the middle of the day this weekend.

You guys have fun, I used to go after them no matter what. These days I've become a fair weather archer. Just not as mad at them as I used to be, either that or I'm getting fat and lazy.

23 degrees this morning when I got in the stand and from 730 to 10 I had deer in front of me the whole time, probably saw about 20 deer, some more than once I'm sure, and had a nice 10 at 30 yards at 915 but couldn't get around some branches for the shot.

Trying again now and if no luck tonight I'll be back out tomorrow morning.

Oh, and by 8 this morning my toes were ice cubes, very miserable. 40s and 50s are ok, even 30s with no wind, but 10s and 20s aren't my thang.
