Good luck. Keep us posted.

There are two kinds of people in this world, those who believe they can and those who believe they can't. They are both correct.

Rob, I'm hunting about 40 miles south of San Antonio, and yesterday the deer were moving all the way up until around noon when I fianlly left the stand. Hunted the evening and saw deer moving before dark, but the first part of the day was best. Might want to stay on stand longer today.

P.S....Ole Andy would never let those feeders run dry! cheers

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Rob and Medinabuck, I also hunt north of Hondo. I'm about 6 miles north of Hondo, about 2 miles west of 173. Whereabouts do you guys hunt exactly?

I just sold a ranch that has to be within a mile or two of you

Lots of deer in that area. They were running hard a few weeks ago

TxTrophy85, how big was the place you sold? Was it about 350 acres withh a nice house on it with a small tank right in front of it? Off of CR 341?

Hm, right by the creek? I was trying to make sure you weren't talking about our neighbor's place. You weren't.

Sorry for the delay guys. The place I hunt is 500 acres that belongs to a friend of mine in Dunlay. I ended up taking a really fat (130 lb) 8 point after my last post. And Jimbo you were right! As I was leaving one pasture and driving to the next I saw a great 10 pt running down a doe. I only had a running rump shot at 200 yards so of course I did not shoot......but that angle gave me a great view of his rack....what a whopper! Oh well, maybe next weekend. Let me see if I can post a pick of the buck....

Txtrophy, I'm pretty close to the Wilson county line not far off 97. Deer started chasing the week of Thanksgiving and this week. Seeing a lot of new deer (bucks) I've not seen all season.

Rob, that's a nice buck! Makes it even nicer when it's an invite hunt!
