Im am going to work up a load for my nieces 7-08 and would like to hear any experience or data I have the following to use and can't decide. 139 Hornady interlock, 130 Sierra pro hunter spitzer, ton of 160sierra spitzer or a few 140 & 160 partitions. Use Texas whitetail and pig Varget powder. tc encore Any history or recommendations appreciated.
I also have a browning BLR 7mag that I have worked up with 160 accubonds & 150gr TTSX(best results). Gun shows slight pressure signs 3/4 way to max(nosler & Barnes data) using imr 4831. My question is should I try h1000 that I have read several reports on w either of these 2 bullets or bullets from above. Used primarily for elk & mule deer best group if let cool completely was about1 1/2" @ 200 yrds if shot a lil quicker heated fast and went to 2-3". Any guidance is appreciated. I'm new at loading but have come up w loads for my 30-06 that shot .7-1"@ 200yrds and my 6.5-06 shooting .5" avg at 200 but still have a lot to learn. Thanks

For 7-08
140 gr. ProHunter or comparable 43 gr +/- Varget F210 Win brass that also works well with Nosler and Remington brass and CCI an or Winchester primers. the other powder I have burned a lot of in the 7mm08 is IMR-4350 pushing various 140gr bullets has been accurate.

7-08
120gr Barnes TTSX 44 grains of RL-15
CCI Primer Winchester Brass 2.79 COAL Remington Model 7 - 20" barrel
A whole lot of people love Varget for 7-08. I could never get it to work in my gun very well.
RL15 and IMR 4350 work best in my rifle

I use sierra 120 pro hunter with h4895 with 36gr. The velocity is 2600 ft/sec. 22 inch barrel . My daughter and son shoot it nicely, very little recoil. The Remington factory reduced recoil rounds kick little less as they are only 2300 ft/sec. But I think you would be happy with the suggestion above

IME, in the 7 RM, H1000 won't surpass IMR4831 until you get to 175 gr bullets. I would chrono some loads with Re22, but even then, you'll be hard pressed to out-perform IMR4831.
