This weekend. It depends on the roads.

The ice storm possibilities are what worry me.

I'm already here at the land. We had a dinner party to attend in Colleyville this Saturday and just found out it's been cancelled crying This is terrible. Guess I'll have to stay all weekend and hunt in the cold banana

Life is too short, as is. Don't chance it.
Don't text and drive.

I hunt between Seymour and Megargle and I'll be making the drive. It will take longer to get there, but consecutive days in the 60-70's, deer will be moving. Add the fact that our rut is probably over, they are going to have to eat. I'll take my chances w/ the cold.

Roads shouldn't be too bad with the warm temps from previous days.

Just saw the weather and I don't think they are calling for it to be too bad. At least not like 2 weeks ago when the roads had 2" of ice in the dfw area. Lol

To hunt, or not to hunt? That is NOT the question.

I can handle the cold, I just don't want to deal with sleet or snow. Heading to Coleman Co., hopefully it won't be too bad.

That's one of the reasons I have a 4x4. If the roads are that bad I'll just leave a few hours early and take my time, but I'm hunting!!!

As long as the roads are clear it will be okay, but after 24 hours of cold the roads could be the pits. 4X4 helps, but it won't be worth a flip on sheet ice, all 4x4 does on sheet ice is get one in trouble.

planning on being out there. Rut is over, deer are hungry and with the last freeze green stuff is hard to come by. I hope to see the deer hitting the corn for warm carbs and the food plot for some protein.

Go for it. I'm debating to go hunt tonight. Before this cold snap. In the 70s. Thoughts?
