I have a friend thats is in dire need of assistance. He served his country as a US Marine. Also he is a fellow brother in Christ and loves the outdoors. He lost his job about 2 months ago. He was layed off but he was given 2WEEKS severance pay but that doesnt last very long when you have a wife and 2 small children and the bills pile up quickly. He has put in numerous applications with no success. He is looking to get into law enforcement. He doesnt have any money for the bills and nor any money to be able to provide a Christmas for his kiddos. He has been in the process of selling what he owns to get by here and there. His faith is being tested at the moment. He is a very positive person. But this drought that he is in is dragging him down. Theres Nothing I hate more than seeing a man broken down. Having the feeling of failure. Because he isnt able to provide a living and a Christmas for his family. I get emotional for him. I cant stand to see a man cry. I struggled just like he is this past year. And MY faith was tested but MY GOD showed up bigtime. Had a awesome Christmas with my family when all else seemed to fail. I just wanted to reach out to my hunting forum family and see what we could do to help. Or if any of you have ideas or suggestions please feel free to share. Please pray about this. What are his skills, what type of experience does he have?

I know that he has been in the Frac world. I believe he can weld.....and has been trying to get on with a couple of frac companies as a mechanic. But I do know that he really wants to get into law enforcement.

How old are the kids? If he wouldn't mind some second hand toys to give his kids for x-mas, I'm sure I could round up some of my kids' old toys for him. My boys are 5 yrs old and 10 months old, so I have DVD's, trucks, cars and all kinds of boy stuff he could have...Been meaning to clear a lot of this stuff out anyway before the kids get a whole new load of that stuff this coming christmas.

Houston Police is always hiring people and their starting pay is pretty good. Not sure when their next class is but if he doesn't mind moving to Houston, tell him to keep an eye out here. But when I get back home in 3 days I'll look around the house for things to send for the kids.

I get where you're coming from but...yeah, now you've gone about it the wrong way.
