Anybody else out there have a tough week on the water? Ducks were around on Thanksgiving, but slowly disappeared....we got skunked on Sunday. Congrats to all those guys with great stories and pics on here, but anybody else singin' the blues? (We were hunting down near Freeport)

Hunting was pretty good for us the last 5 days, Friday was a little slower, still managed some ducks with a few mallards mixed in, I tried a different lake because I took a 12 and 72 year old with me for an easy hunt.
Back at another lake I hunted Wed and Thursday yesterday and we smashed them, best hunt of the week, mostly mallards and pintail with a couple of teal to finish out our limits.
Only one other boat at the ramp too.

Had the complete opposite. Scratchin my head early in the week and 4 man limited Sunday. Weird...but that's the way duck hunt go.

The Sunday after thanksgiving has to be the hardest public hunting day of the season.

I smashed them yesterday at the same place I hunted Wed and Thursday. I agree yesterday was great.

Love the title of the thread.
Anyone else have the duck hunting book with that title?

My hunting has been limited by family emergencies, and other commitments this year. Having a new baby took up all the space in the van when we went North for Thanksgiving and there was no room for hunting gear.

I'm a little envious of you all that get to hunt a lot like I used to but I'll have my oldest daughter joining me for some hunts soon and this slow period will pass.
