I hunt with West-Tex, our place is just south of 290.
Been hard for me to get out there this year and it's killin' me!
Won't make it unit the week before Christmas.

I will be heading back out Thursday afternoon and hunting until Sunday or Monday. Sure hope the big boys move. May even try some rattling and see what it produces...

Man I sure do miss it out there...we hunted off Live Oak Rd for years. Just got too expensive. Maybe one day I'll get to take my son out there. Good luck guys!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. In the blind this morning, watching a small 8 and 3 doe's.. Nice and chilly this morning. Hope the big ones come out....

Won't make it unit the week before Christmas. Maybe they will have power restored by then. Ours is still out since last Saturday. Power line laying across 406 still. We have several snapped poles across 2 of our pastures.

Yup. A buddy that does an annual trip to a buds family place in area was there last weekend when it all happened.

We have power at our place.. All is good.. Curt o I hunt with West Tex also. This is my first year on the place.. Lot of deer on the place. Just getting settled in blind now... Already had 4 doe's out feeding when I was walking up. Had to put the stealth action on. Was able to get in the blind without spooking them. Didn't even know I was there...

Nice morning, overcast, type of weather where you want to sit all day... Had a nice 8 come in. Just not what I'm after.. Took off chasing the does around. That was about 15mins ago...have one doe at feeder now....
