Start in the classifieds section with a post

WTB Ruger No 1 and then post caliber a you are after and what you are willing to spend

They aren't cheap even when you get a deal these days your still going to spend close to $800

Get ready to spend $7-$1000 plus a scope. I've had 3-4 all good rifles. I had a 338 Win I gave my nephew that would shoot nickle or dime groups with multiple loads.

The price will depend on what you are looking for; common ones will be from $6-7 hundred up, Harder to find ones may well be more.

A #1 is on my list of guns to own. I like the odd balls and would like to find one in a .257 Roberts or a 25-06. Just looking for a great hunting caliber.

Cabela's had two of them on the used shelf yesterday. One elephant gun in some caliber I don't remember and a .243

Cabelas in Fort Worth had a ton of 257 Roberts and 243's on the used shelf a few weeks ago that were actually new guns. I almost picked up the 257 to add to my collection.

I have a 25-05 stainless laminate that I did the Hicks on. I shot before/after and dropped a inch off how it shoots.

Interesting about the "pre-owned .243's and .257's in Ft. Worth. The Thornton(north of Denver)store had 8 in October. 3 were the Roberts. All tagged as Pre-owned at a bargain price. I study this and can not fathom why these were made.

I have one in .458 win. mag. with Leupold VX-3 3.5x10. I have been wagging it around all week hoping to punch one of these big boar hogs with it.
