DIY GMU9 Muzzleloader NM, Everything I dreamed of and more.. We hiked 61 miles in 4 days, and it was worth triple that. Hardest hunt I have been on and the most rewarding, cant wait to tackle it again next year. Enjoy...           Set up on a good trail on edge of meadow, he came in on the 4th day about 40 minutes before dark on his way to water, the pic of him in meadow is just before he dropped after I had shot him. Shot was 135 yrds, Traditions Vortek 50 cal 120grains 777, 295grain powerbelt, he didn't make it 10 ft before giving it up, high shoulder he was done. He was busted up pretty bad, missing 4 pts on a 6x6 so he didn't make the wall, but will make a good euro and right around 350lbs of deboned meat from this guy. Was a very exceptional bull for the unit and a great bull for my first, couldn't have asked for a better hunt.....
