A friend & I went hunting with Cody today & had one of the best times I had hunting in along time! I would recommend booking a hunt with him to everyone not only is he fun to hunt with he will work for you to get birds. I knew going in he hunts mostly public which is not a problem with me cause that's all the hunting I do. Well first off we book a hunt last year and he canceled cause he was scared of the rain!! Sorry Cody had to do it!!! Lol! Anyway he contacted me this year to make up for it and we scheduled a hunt. Well I got the dates wrong he had us scheduled for the 25th and I mark the calander for the 26th... You see where this is headed... Good thing he didn't have anything scheduled for today, I couldn't beleave I did that. So we go out today after he had a decent shoot solo yesterday. And wouldn't you beleave it 400 million other hunter's show up today to hunt the same spot!!! And I know we are on public land but come on it's Tuesday!!! Really!!! Well anyways we make the best of it. We get in a spot where ducks want to be the only problem we have some guy just screaming on the hail call, this went on the whole time, at every duck around. And I know it's public!!! Needless to say we had plenty of birds working and could've took passing shots but we want them cupped up & feet down. Ended the day with no birds but that's hunting we had a good time cracking jokes and telling hunting stories!!! If it wasn't for Hail Call who set up maybe 70-80 yards from us we would've of killed the mallards they wanted in but these skybusters wouldn't let them work. Even though we didn't kill anything we had a good time he knows his stuff and will work to try to get you birds. Thanks Cody for the good time today can't wait to go again!!! I'll guide next time.... Lol!!

They don't bother me. We were on a 5 acre pond today with 3 other groups...one guy had a full snow goose sillosock spread. 10 birds were killed all morning, 9 were ours. Its public land, I expect it. We were able to relax in our layouts, when the kazoo contest started up we just hit a few peeps on the whistle and they were in our decoys.

yeah, its hilarious. As soon as the kids are back in school I will be heading out farther to get in some good hunts.

It worked today!

Felt normal again, same lake nicer weather for hunters. Only 2 other folks out, 1 was a real hunter. 1 blew a goose call for two hours, we has words he left, I was very polite but he wasn't having it.

Had two youngsters 10m - 15f, and their dads. We hunted the exact sane as yesterday, worked at getting this limits first but the adults finally stepped in. Lots if redheads, mallards and pintail with a goldeneye drake as a bonus

My pond is holding a lot, if any ones interested in a quickly in the am let me know by 5pm, otherwise I'm headed south to spend some needed family time.

Sounds like a fun morning, Cody. Just had to chime in regarding the hail call boy-wonders on public. We were convinced the one guy yesterday had a tape playing...nobody I know has lungs like that to honk for 4 hours straight. We did manage to bag 11, all feet down, with 2 greenheads and two pins. Steering clear this weekend, gonna be a joke.

We thought the same about him, 9-1 was disliked as we figured he would keel over dead with exploded lungs
