I found out one of our hunters has been bringing customers to hunt the lease during the week and getting reimbursed from his company. Now keep in mind he is putting them in blinds by themselves to hunt over feeders he has not filled. How many of you would put up with this?

If "found out" means that you heard it from another source other than the hunter and he didn't run this by the other lease members, It is apparent that he was trying to "get away" with something. In my opinion its grounds for immediate dismissal from the lease without refund.

Not sure if you have a lease agreement in writing and what your definition of a "guest" is. But thats being pretty liberal with the lease and not cool to make the other members corn feeders and provide stands for his clients to hunt in.

I've brought work guys out to my lease before but they hunt my stand and hunt off my tags and I didn't get compensated for it.

Sounds like what he's doing is pretty underhanded if the other lease members arn't on notice. But I don't know all the details of the situation either.

As many good guys out there looking for leases why do so many tolerate absolute Stupidity? Is the World really came to the fact that no one is Man enough to tell someone what the rules are and make them be held accountable...I dont feel sorry for anyone having issues like that one bit, unless they do not have control over it

The first year we were on the lease without asking he brought out a fifth hunter, helped him set up his trailer and unplugged one of the other campers so this guy could have electricity. Ruined everything in the other hunters fridge. The same weekend he ran over a fire pit that belonged to me, crushing the hell out of it and never offered to replace it.

This is no different than day leasing your place during the week. Guy would get the immediate boot and be asked to reimburse for any deer taken by his customers.

Wow, really?

I wouldn't have to be asked twice. Though I would finish the season.

I will finish the season but I am moving my trailer today. Unhooking all of the 10/3 wire I ran/paid for on the electricity, removing the pressure tank I installed/paid for and dumping all of the corn out of the community feeders I filled. Disassembling the outdoor shower I built and paid for. Taking the riding mower that I bought for the camp.......oh yeah and I will lose the $500 deposit I put down. What really sucks....this guys still owes $300 I put towards the open spot that was filled and a check cut to him.

If he's over the lease and there is no written lease regulations, sounds like he can do what ever he wants. You have to decide if its worth staying on or move on. It is pretty chitty though

I know the land owner through my industry and would rather not get him involved. That is actually who I have a contract with regarding the lease. I can't believe 4 men cannot act like adults.

Im sure you may have your reasons for not contacting the landowner, but if you approach it in a respectful manner I see no harm.

May be a big surprise to him if he doesn't know what is going on behind his back.

You've made the right choice. But, it sounds like these are the type of guys that whatever you put up and paid for is "theirs". (This isn't deep east Texas by chance?) I know you want to get your money's worth, but don't go out there and stay in a hostile situation just on principle.

I'd definitely hold out and wait to join a higher class of guys.

If a company can't afford a company lease (and there's nothing wrong with not being able to), they shouldn't go about it this "po' boy" way. It's just sleezy.

I hosted customers hunting for years. Lots of guys want to go. Very few have that much of an impact on the purchasing decision. The ones that ask to go, without being invited first, usually have zero loyalty to your company, will take whatever they can get, and don't have much of a say on buying your product.

If MY agreement was with the land owner...He would be the only person to make me leave!!!
