Wow is all I can say. I think most deer hunters have a special place in their hearts for huge 8s. We all see so many that are not shooters and to see a giant like that is so rare. My son has been seeing a huge 8 at his stand, but nothing like that. Congrats, what a trophy.

I thought so too. 25" beams, 20" spread, 10" avg 2s and 3s, 12" for brows and 35" mass makes it less than 170, and I figure this is a little extra on a thing or two.

Ill go get the score sheet today, i have zero reason to lie and he was measured 2xs, both 2s are over 12" beams were 26.5 and 25 if i remeber correctly. 22" wide. Yes he was on. HF ranch.

I will also post a pic of those horns next to a 139-7/8" 8 I shot last year for the non believers. I had him at 164" before the shot. I was as shocked as anyone when we scored it so we had to do it again.

Oh I believe you with out a second thought, espeically after you posted weight.

Weight difference is huge factor just throws everything off, it hides mass and beam length

Ok here is the score sheet measurements, 22-1/8" wide with 26-4/8" and 25-1/8" beams. 8-4/8" and 6-2/8" brows, 13-6/8" and 12-3/8 g2s. 10-7/8" and 9-6/8" G3s, 2" G4 with 35-2/8" mass puts him at 172-4/8" ill have a comparison pic to a true 140" 8 later today. He was 6.5 yo and not bought and brought into the ranch, tagged as a fawn like every other deer breeding facitlity and had a decent amount of northern in him showing off such as those big ol ears and huge body, long hair etc. it was a heck of a hunt as he was hot on a doe and we got out of the stand in the rain and sleet and put a stalk down a creek bottom and found him at another food plot cashing around the same doe. That stuff will get you in trouble and got him shot.
