checked the cams and activity has fallen off some, but some of the same bucks were coming in almost daily.

Excuse the stupid question but could someone explain how to setup a mock scrape and where?

I'd like to give it a try.

find a low hanging limb that's about chest high off the ground in an area deer frequent, rake out a big spot under it to give the appearance that it's active..then drip scent on the scrape and limb..or take a leak in it. Once the first buck comes through it'll get the real deal in it.

The majority of ours stayed cold, but the few that were active exploded over the last week. Got three new bucks on camera Thursday and Friday with one being a for sure shooter.

Good pics. That bottom buck has some potential and the top one should be good in a few years too.

I watched a cpl yearlings freshen up scrapes this weekend when they were out on the field. Noticed a bunch of them hadn't been touched since the big rain last week.

The old one. I'm having the taxi pop pull jawbone for me, but from what I could see and feel he didn't have much there. He should be 6 or 7.

That's a good buck. Congrats. Looks like he either lost a bunch of his kickers this year or they broke off.

They were just bumps this yr on his left side, but put on a lot more mass. Right side still had a kicker and a bump where the other one was.

I finally saw the picture in your other thread. Great buck, really good mass too. You weigh him?

won't turn down yearling 8pts

and on the front one there's always opportunity for random visitors

it'll happen. Give it time...or you need to freshen it up.

The return of Whitey

this one has taken over as the regular buck on it.. he hasn't missed many days of stopping by.

he's not coming by my stand, but picked him up about 100yds from my wife's stand at a creek crossing. Not a bad young deer to have around wanting to breed everything.

Looking good! Got some good potential on that young buck too. Any more bucks been following you from the blind?

I had one bothering me Sat night around midnight that was mixed in with a group of does. Caught some dogs running calves that morning and apparently it stressed one too much. Sitting there waiting for its mama to leave it and the truck stayed parked in one spot too long in that spot so the deer swarmed it thinking they were getting fed.
