Depends on where you hunt them. Texas? New Zealand? Argentina?

give them time. right now it it be weather dependent. they will start moving as the cold weather hits. then you can either spot and stalk if your lease or land holder allows it, or you can do the pattern analysis and sit and watch the feeder or their favorite path of travel.

Get a bag of Alfalfa pellets and put out! Elk and deer love them so I would think the stags would too.

The females are called hinds and the males are stags.

Sounds like someone's high fence had a hole in it.

I know of several ranches in young and jack counties that are covered up with them.Friend along the brazos river has 60 or so on his place and he hates them, says they run off the WT.Young county warden said he has seen close to a 100 in large wheat field in eastern young county. My friend thought he had a gold mine thinking they would be like elk meat.Said no comparison and he has quit shooting them. They came off of a high fence place 10-12 years ago south east of Graham when they were turned loose.

I have seen like 5 of them on my ranch. Waiting for one to cross paths with my 30-06 wink

The story I heard was that they got out about 15 years ago and just hung around because no one hunted that place.

Coyotes were killing them in a high fence pen. The owner turned them out to give them a chance and the are spreading pretty well.

That's classified. I was told to keep it in the county name nut it is in the northern half of the county
