Wonder how you'd count that towards your bag limit. Part of the 20 white geese, or 1 of the 2 specs... Cool bird!

Pretty solid speck/blue. Would count as a hybrid which in ducks would be 6/day. Not sure how that would go for geese. Prob safe counting it as a speck. Mounting it I hope?
Really a pretty ugly bird.

I think you are right Nathan. Odd bird for sure I should have looked at the pictures better and I should have taken some more. He is completely brown like a Speck between the wings, white tail, has a few bars on his neck. Brown head, blue wings... A really pretty bird!!!

Not to hi jack your thread, but here is a hybrid from up north. Snow/Canadian Hybrid...kind of weird how the snow comes through in both birds.

Other than the bill it just looks like a blue to me. You could say it's back looks speckish as well I guess. What did the underside of the wings look like? White with black tips like snow/blue or more speck like.
Whatever the heck it is it's certainly a cool looking goose. I'm sure some city park is really going to miss him ;-)
