Headed out to the lease. Bucks starting to chase? It's about that time of the year......

Our place is pretty green so the feeders were not that popular during the opener. The started hitting the corn?

Reports are the bucks are roaming between feeders right now looking for a hot doe. Some chasing, but nothing terribly serious, just the younger ones. Cameras are still showing mature deer coming by and staying awhile. Typically, during the rut, feeder activity becomes skittish doe and young bucks.

Looks like a pile of rain on Friday. With the front, I see the bucks really moving on Saturday if the wind calms down....

Not Friday, not Sunday but Saturday. Is that what the lucky 8-Ball says?

Yes, Saturday will be the day... Forcast says Friday will be a mess. If wind cooperates, Saturday will be nice and cool. The combination of cold air and hot does will put some meat in my freezer. Better pack your whiskey boys, it's going to get chilly...
