I recently traded for a 70's model Ruger 77. The trigger is light and appears to be after market. Did not know if anyone could verify what trigger it is. Thanks

It has been a long time since I did my M77, but that looks stock to me.

It might be the pre recall trigger. I believe you can contact Ruger and they will tell you if the recall was ever done.

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

OK, I'll give them a call. The trigger has been worked on as it is very light. This is my first ruger rifle and did not think the factory one would have an external adjustment.

Older M77 tang safety triggers are adjustable and you can get them very light. Awesome triggers.

I took mine apart and made it lighter but I wish it was adjustable.

Just doing it for fun now.

Looks like a stock old model.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

You use an Allen wrench and set the wt. of pull. That was on the stock triggers. I have two rifles with this and they are the older tang safety ones. On the newer model Mark II ones you can't do that. I have one of those too and I had to take a stone to it to get the pull down to the right pull. It came from the factory with about a 15 pound pull.
