I made it to the stand that we have set up off so farm land we have access to a little late this morning as I slept through my alarm.

I climbed in and got comfortable at about 6 this morning with hope I may see something worth shooting as my meat supply is getting pretty sad.

Feeder went off at about 7 and Soon after I hear some rustling and this spike was about 25 yards from me in the brush. I get excited as he keeps coming my direction up until about 10 yards from me. That's when he sees me. I stay as still as possible in my tree stand but he spooks and trots about 20 yards into the trees, right into one of my shooting lanes.

I put the 30 yard pin where I want it and let go....

Blood on the ground is always a good sign

I waited about 40 minutes and my buddies showed up to help me haul him out. Quick track. The Grizz trick put a hurt on him.

Double lunged him. Made it maybe 60 yards and this is how I found him.

Range finder put it at 33 yards.

I'm happy happy

Thanks for reading and happy monday!

Zac

Hard to believe there are huntable populations of deer so close to the metromess but there are. Population increases every year. Good job Zac. Congratulations.
