Sitting here at 6:55am and hearing shots at Grapevine. I can barly see out the window. Guess I go look up the shooting times.

Seems early..

Yea I went and checked. That much of a jump can be expected on most public puddles. I was even thinking there might have been an accidental discharge or something it was dark out.

6:48a should have been the legal shooting time, sunrise was set at 7:18a and 30 mins prior to sunrise puts the shooting time legal if you were hearing it at 6:55a

Maybe where you live sunrise was 7:18 but the sunrise time for Grapevine on 12/23 was 7:28 (or 7:27 depending on table used) so 6:57/6:58 was the legal shooting time. But many watches can be off by a couple minutes. I have a Timex from Target that synchs up with the Atomic clock. Of course it is out of batteries.

the gw gives about 5 min each way but that it, you should know your times, no guessing. and 0658 was the time on that day at grapevine, and the gw dont allow for no 10 min "my watch is off" bs. if he had been there its a ticket. and just because he dost come get you right then dosnt mean he not going to get you in a hour after watching you. after being stop and water safty checked and the gw not asking for birds and i asked why no bird check he told me what i had so they know, what we didnt know was he had been 1/2 mile away just watching us. yes we were good but he was telling us about the boys down the lake he had been really watching, and they were in trouble.

Take a look at the tables for an entire month. The times change a minute or two each day. So after a couple weeks there is a 10-15 minute difference.

Could keep you out of trouble with mister warden..

Most of the days while we're out we hear guys shooting well before legal time. Maybe 15 or 20 minutes. We're very strict about not shooting before leagl time.

Why the hell should I have to press 1 for English!!??
