I've got nothing moving... Had three doe run threw bout half an hour ago and that's it... Been a slow hunt

Isn't it funny how day by day nothing changes but when you look back everything is different.

Nowadays people know the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Two more young bucks just showed up. The 8 point doesn't like it. He is started to get all puffed up...

Man this fog is thick. Feeder went off about 10min ago, and still can't see down there. Looks like I have movement, but can't make anything out....

At least you have movement. Only movement I have had, is a bird that stomps around on top of my blind.

I've been down there Tues-Thurs. Saw lots of deer moving all over the place. Lots and lots of fawns. Probably saw about 5 quality mature bucks. A lot of stunning 3.5 and younger bucks that had great looking racks. A couple small spikes and those drive me nuts. Shoot the tiny spikes, that are likely just way to young or go with the studies that indicate spikes might turn out as good bucks but never really tend to be trophies?

Oh I should certainly add that I saw young bucks chasing tail but never saw an older buck following any doe.

Just a little over 200lbs! Huge for our area. This is our 4th season for year round protein. It is beginning to pay off. Seeing lots of heavier bodies specially with all the rainfall we got this year.

Well I finally get a chance to get down here and do some hunting by myself and since I have been a good boy and took the family out to dinner and a movie lastnight momma said I can stay till Monday if I want. There are a few bruisers and culls on my cameras so hopefully with the cooler weather rolling in ill see some good action. Either way I just enjoy being down here

They've been chasing for a while now and the rut activity might be going well right for thanksgiving because all the ice had to have made it a little hard for them to chase as well.

The rut is on. This weekend was the best time to be out. If you could have weathered the storm.

West-tex,

All of Those pictures are of the same deer.

Hwy 290 splits our lease.

Headed out there tomorrow afternoon for Thanksgiving.
