this morning. Found out I was in the middle of WWIII on public land. Opening of rifle season started this morning and lets just say it started off with several hundred BANGS! Picked my spread up by 8am and got out of dodge. If I haven't learned anything else by now, I have learned that it is better to "make a good run, than a poor stand". I will wait for gun season to end before going back there. I did get 3....

man where were you hunting that so many people on public land were shooting deer or were they all shooting at the same deer

Public land on the river in west Nebraska...all the whitetails are congregated on the river and thick. I probably saw 20 deer running for their lives.....and heard people shooting at them while they were running......not a good place to sitting in

why is your dog wearing a walky talky? So he could call for help when the deer hunters started shooting in his direction.
