Lots of success for our house last weekend. Three nice bucks taken by my 15 year old stepson and 14 year old son. Tanner was on an invite hunt and shot these two bucks. They were filming him and a couple of buddies for a show and from the stories I've heard I think this may be more of a comedy! Not his first bucks, but the second one is definitely his best buck. He rattled the first one in by himself using some sheds picked up near the blind. They were out there with the biologist and it sounds like they got a first rate schooling on deer hunting and management.   Reid took this buck Saturday and it his first buck. A young eight came out first, nice rack with the potential to be really big in a few years. He was wanting to shoot but I had him hold off and explained why. I asked if he was upset and he said "Yeah, but I understand". Five minutes later this guy follows a doe in. You couldn't have scripted that any better. I was more nervous than him; shaking and whispering to shoot as soon as he was ready. Reid was as cool as a cucumber, waited until it turned broadside and drilled him through both lungs. I was jumping around in the blind, slapping him on the shoulder and making a fool of myself. Reid had to tell me to settle down.

We're going to have to wait on the video. My wife saw some of the raw footage when she picked him up Sunday and said it was hilarious, especially the interviews with the boys. I hope we don't have to wait too long for it to air, I'm guessing early next year. Tanner said he'll never look at a hunting show the same. He said it was tough with that big buck out there for so long waiting for enough light for the camera man.

Great job bill. Didn't realize tanner got to shoot both those deer. Wow!!
