I have started a new blind project and have just about finished the stand part. All parts of the base are welded 2x2x3/16 and the legs are also 2x2x3/16. My question is i have supports that run along the bottom of the legs but have no more supports. The legs seem solid as heck but do I need the diagonal support that you see on taller stand. The legs are only 5 ft long. Thanks

Being that you only have single bolts on each support end i would add at least one diagonal brace. Having only a single bolt gives it a pivot point and will loosen and wobble.

Without the cross braces it will wiggle.

Take some angle and do this and you should be fine. It will help to make it more stable.

Built from 3/16"? It ought to be hell for stout after the braces.
