Anybody use these? Are they any more terminal than the lower cost regular stuff like Core Lokts, Federal Blue box, etc.

I have never used a hollow point on deer, but I don't think these do quite like super fast hollow points like 22-250, etc.

I used .270 130 grain bonded powermax to take a 4x3 opening weekend at 130 yards. Bullet penetrated both shoulders and was recovered right under the hide. Perfect uniform expansion. I have not weighed it yet but looks to be almost 100 percent. Good lower end bonded bullet for the money. Killed him instantly where he stood. I think I gave under $25 bucks at wall mart for them. I noticed at the range the powder smells really strange but it doesn't seem to foul anymore than anything else i have shot. Recommended for deer ill let you know about hogs in two weeks.

I have seen them used on deer in .270win 130gr & .243

I think they are an excellent budget option; after all I have seen them for $20box at Wal-Mart & Academy. Considering that you are only paying $2 a box more for a bonded hollow point vs. cor-lokt and power points I think its a no brainer.

In .270win I saw them perform as stated by NRHplumber, but with mostly pass through.

In .243 with shoulder shots; they penetrated the shoulder just fine and continued through ribs and vitals and either stopped under the far side hide or broke the far side rib and stuck inside it......

and were talking about 140ish lbs doe & 180ish pound bucks!

I did recover 6 of the .243 rounds during one youth season hunt a couple of years ago and all of them showed uniform expansion, great performance in the vitals and high weight retention.

Bought some for my sons 7wsm, On 140# pig a 75 yrds no exit on shoulder shot but dead right there and shoulder blade broken to small pcs. On a yote at the same distance got q exit wound the size of a pumpkin, most of off side gone. He shot a 3 yr old buck at 120 yrd and got a nice exit after going thru the near shoulder buck bounced he dropped so quick

My son took a 140 lb. Fallow Buck yesterday with this 270/130 grain ammo. It was about 120 yard shot and there was a decent size exit wound. I guess it made it about 8-10 steps and dropped.

It was a heart and lung shot and it was all pretty much just mush.

My friend used some In 170gr for 30-30 last year, every deer that he shot at dropped right where they stood. Some ammo passed through while a few round only made it to the off side under the hide, those that where recovered were pretty much intact and held up pretty well all the while retained a majority of there weight. They opened up quit well and they were designed to do. My friend and I were both impressed with the way this round performed on deer, I have a box also that I would like to give a try and use in my 30-30...
