Goose hunting continues to be good to be good on the prairie with limits of specks and a few bonus snows and ducks to boot. Specks are decoying well some days and not so well others - of course the lack of wind we've had doesn't help any. Soft clucks and murmurs have been the ticket to getting the specks close on those calm days. On the snow goose front, more and more birds are showing up every day. There's a pretty good bunch on the Bernard Prairie right now. From the groups I've seen on the ground and what we've taken, the snow goose hatch looks to be excellent and should make for some great hunts when the big numbers show up. Here's two from this weekend:
