I ate horsemeat in Marseilles, France. It was a steak and was actually very good. We could feed a lot of homeless folks over here with horsemeat if it weren't so PC to be appalled by the notion of eating horse meat.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Some of y'all are some tough SoBs. Some of you are just plain sick. I have to agree with you. I did have some Black Angus but couldn't tell any difference between rergular beef, and certainly not worth the add-on price. I would never get drunk enough to admit that I had eaten some of the things above. Talk about "staying where it happened"!!!

I lived off Robin and cottontails in college. I have eaten nutria, raccoon, possum, squirrel, and just about anything else the swamps of south Louisiana had to offer me. We would often go camping and bring a .22, cast iron skillet, and small bottle of oil. To this day i carry Tony's with me everywhere just in case im bout to grub on something less desired by most.

Only thing I've eaten not listed above was live opihi on Maui. Reminded me of raw squid in a saltwater brine. Not too bad actually.

All the calamari lovers have probably eaten pork bung, including me.
I had beef stomach once. I hated it but the uncles and my dad loved it.

Dang, this thread is hilarious! Most of the weird stuff I've eaten has been birds. I accidentally shot a cormorant when I was duck hunting with my grandad...water turkey my azz. Tasted more like old boot.
I accidentally shot a kingfisher when I was duck hunting with my grandad. It smelled like digested shad and tasted a little bit worse.
I was really, really careful about what I shot while I was duck hunting with my grandad after those two trips.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

We could feed a lot of homeless folks over here with horsemeat if it weren't so PC to be appalled by the notion of eating horse meat. Not eating Horse meat has a medical reason more than a PC reason. People who eat horse meat on a regular basses will have an adverse reaction to a tetanus shot or booster.

My dad always said he was born 200 years to late as he was always trying to see how the foods of native Americans tasted so we ate ground hog, muskrats, deer, moose, bear, caribou, sora rails, snake, mud hens, etc. My mom would make most into a stew and they all tasted quite good.

Shot a sandhill crane ONCE.. made jerky out of it, won't do that again... I had never heard of those until I moved here. Why do you think you see all those references to "flying ribeye"? Just something about eating a crane doesn't seem right. We didn't even eat those back home in S. La. Nutria looks too much like a rat. Duck, goose, dove, robin, rabbit, squirrel, alligator, raccoon, deer, elk, octopus (newest addition and surprisingly, very good). Would gladly eat any again. Charlie

I was told that porcupine is great, I was lied to. Them quills are not protecting a delicacy, just greasy tough meat.

Eaten live minnows, it was a drunk bet.
Been there myself! X3 and parakeets in Argentina. They counted for bonus points when we were down there shooting doves

What exactly are you doing or do you do that might require you to grub on something less than desirable at any given time? I hunt in the middle of nowhere and I can still get to Allsups in half an hour.
