Does anyone have any experience with the slick trick series of heads being used on a crossbow for whitetail? I am liking the grislytrick, but I am hoping to get some extra input from you guys.

Thanks for all of the help guys

I would recommend it. I like a fixed blade. And a slick trick is a fixed blade that does not require any different tuning to obtain field point accuracy. That is my experience anyway. Since you can't adjust anything but the sight on the crossbow, I would say go for it since you won't have to adjust your scope for your broadheads.

Can't go wrong with slick tricks. I've been shooting them this year and have been very pleased. Fly true and make a wicked cut on a deer.

I like mine, but had to move my sight. Point of impact was 2" right of my field points.

I've been shooting them for several years and have had nothing but excellent results. This deer only made it 13 yards. The hole you see is the entrance wound. The exit was bigger.

Slick Trick 125's are what me and my dad are shooting in our crossbows. In both of our bows we never had to adjust the scope when moving from field points to the Slick Tricks.

Both of these were taken this bow season. Dads buck was quartering towards him when he shot and the arrow/slick trick cut its way all the way from the front shoulder to the hind quarter before exiting. It is the most penetration I have ever seen from any arrow/broadhead combo. Deer went less than 50 yards.

Mine was broad side at 15 yards and of course it exited and buried up in the dirt. Deer left a blood trail reminiscent of some of the blood trails from my 300RUM. Deer went maybe 40 yards. I am sold on the Slick Tricks for life!

Which version was used in the above picture? I'll say one thing, hogs of any size don't like the 100 grain Slicks. Hogs don't typically leave an enormous blood trail , but these heads always open them up.

The ones me and my dad used were the Magnum 125 grains.

I have been shooting the Magnum 125s for several years now. I took them to Africa a couple of years ago and they performed flawlessly on such big game as a Gemsbok and a rough old wart hog. They devastated an Impala, Duiker and Steenbok as you would expect. They took down a Caribou without incident in Alaska.

I'm a fan. Plan to shoot nothing else anytime soon and wouldn't hesitate to use them on bigger game like Elk, Eland or Moose. .

I have shot the Slicks since 2003. I can't think of how many animals I've successfully taken but I can tell you how many I've lost.... One boar that I misjudged the yardage on and hit high I. The shoulder. Never found a single drop of blood. Not the Slicks fault but mine alone. Haven't shot the griz yet because I'm stuck on the mags. IMO, I would say they would work great in a cross bow.
