I can only get out once this week in the evening. Would the deer be moving better Tuesday evening before the front hits or later in the week after it pushes through? I'm in Coleman county. Thanks.

The evening on the first clear day after the front has passed with the wind dropping and the temperature dropping even faster.

I may take some time off this week and hunt myself.

If you are anything like me, you will make a decision and then once the decision is made you will check the camera pics and see you made the wrong decision....

I almost have gotten to the point of doing the exact opposite what I think we should, since I seem to always make the wrong choice regarding blind choice and times/days to hunt.

So, whatever I say should not be trusted...but if would hunt after the front rolls through. Seems the front will roll through Tuesday during the day and I don't expect the deer to be moving tonight any more than normal, and by Tuesday evening they will be hunkered down. A hunt Wednesday morning would be good possibly, but I don't know if Wednesday eve would be better than Thursday eve...pick one and go with it, but after would be just as good as before.

How's that for a waffle

I would agree. However, the OP only mentioned an evening hunt being available.

Also, if it appears the wind will not lay for a Wednesday evening hunt, I would wait until Thursday evening.

I like a long afternoon hunt first day of a strong November front... I had to many mornings that the deer get a little cold shock and stay in bet till the sun warms stuff up at mid day

I agree. I can remember many freezing mornings when the deer appeared to be waiting for the frost to thaw before getting out of bed.

I'm looking for very windy conditions most of the day on Wednesday in East Texas. Thursday morning should be ideal.

I should add that an old timer that I hunted with as a kid back in Mississippi would often say that clear frosty mornings when the ground is frozen and "spewed up" are best for killing a buck.

Ive always been told that on the first hard freeze after the winds lay down is good....when we get freezing a** cold we instinctively wanna move around and eat to stay warm and that deer have the same urge.....it says itll warm up to up to 36 my 10 in the morning so it'll be a quick warm up

Yes, the front should be through early enough tomorrow that Wednesday morning should be calm and cold.
