I will be trudging through CRP ground in Arapahoe, Nebraska. 870 at the ready, waiting for a rooster to flush. Can not wait.

Well, we hit some public land Friday morning as we made our was out to Farnum, Nebraska. Nothing but a few hens and a lot of walking. Saturday was a flurry of hitting some good CRP ground and draws. Saw plenty of birds, probably a dozen roosters, but it was so warm they were flushing out of range. We ended up with one pheasant, and one not so smart coyote who wouldn't leave us alone.
We scouted for deer in the afternoon and evening. Saw plenty of nice whitetail bucks, and one massive muley buck. Wish I could go back this weekend and put the crosshairs on him!!
