On Friday Brad Pitcher (bpitcher) and Randy Triplett from Third Coast Outfitters hosted Hunt with our Heroes on a goose hunt. I hunted with Brad last year and he is a great guy and a fantastic goose guide. This year he reached out to me and DONATED this hunt to my organization. I have prided myself on paying for all of the hunts that HWOH has been on but considering my current situation I was happy to have the chance to take some guys on a goose hunts.

Brand and Randy found the geese on a flooded corn field near East Bernard. Both Geese and Ducks were hitting this field hard. We set up about 800 white silo sock decoys and it worked well to pull in the birds. After everythings was said and done we had put a 8 man limit of Specks, 5 Snows, and 2 Eagle Headed Blues on the strap. This goes along with a 8 man limit of pintail, several spoonies and, a couple of Wigeon.

It was a fantastic hunt.





Brad and Randy also provide a very funny comic routine while guiding. They are two of the funniest guys you will ever hunt with. They had me and my guys rolling. I cannot thank them enough. It was a great hunt.

I took one of the Eagle Headed Blues because it is going on my wall.

BTW, we hunted with an Active Duty Member of the US Army, San Antonio PD/20 year Veteran of the US Army, and another 20 year Veteran of the US Army. The guys were very happy with the results of the hunt.
