On our cams in Collingsworth county only seen small bucks with one exception. Hope we aren't seeing effects of the drouth. I know 3 of our 4 best bucks were taken last year. Just not seen anything to replace them yet.

It's obvious in Cottle and Foard that the drought of 2011 and 2012 are still affecting the deer; however, they are a bit better than last. Most of our activity is still nocturnal, but the new moon on the 3rd should start changing behavior, weather pending.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Back on stand this morning wind blowing pretty hard prolly get worse at daybreak. Hunting Kacees stand this morning so I can see what is going on at Her area. She will be pissed if I have to shoot hey, sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Kacee comes up this weekend for a week do there should be a lil more shooting happening. Cooler weather will help lots of activity at night with full moon and too hot during day.
