Thinking about building large capacity deer feeder for the lease. With the idea of about 1200 - 1500lbs feeder, what would be some of your concers about the size other than cost to fill it? Thanks in advance.

Can I fill it from the ground? Is it easy to move around and set up? Is the corn exposed to weather or animals when not throwing corn?

If you were going to build a feeder that big I would:
1. Use two or three direction motors instead of one spin motor. 2. Put a good solar unit in it. 3. Put it on skids with an easy winch point to load it or move it. 4. Make sure it is very very water tight 5. Mount motion lights on it because with that much corn you will need to shoot hogs and coons...

my concern would be: " if this thing malfunctions, or something happens that puts 1000 pounds of corn on the ground at one time, will i be able to take it like a man, or have a big hissy-a$$ fit and a stroke? "

We have a 2000 lb feeder in our big canyon. Fill it once a year and check on it from time to time.
Great set up for use due to it being 13 miles around to get in to access it.
