I see stuff for hunting coyotes at bass pro.. What does one do with a yote after it's been dispatched?

Take a pic then hang it on the fence as a warning to other yotes and a sign to your neighbor that you are doing your part in fighting the good fight..

Admire it or spit on it-depending on your feelings towards coyotes.....
I learned long ago you can't reason someone out of something they don't reason themselves into.

Down here in Fayette County there is a bounty on the dudes. Biggest, mostest paid by the county extension agent. Weigh at there office and at several sites. Anybody want to get a few? If so, I'll try to get so info. Just saw in the Fayette County Record Our local newspaper a week or two ago. Think there is a hog bounty also.

Take a pic then hang it on the fence as a warning to other yotes and a sign to your neighbor that you are doing your part in fighting the good fight.. Get caught by the owner of the property of hanging it on his fence and don't count on ever being allowed back.

so that's not a good idea?
As the carcass rots, the galvanizing on the wire deteriorates and shortens the life of that portion of the fence. At $12-13K per mile, a rancher doesn't want anything shortening the life of his fences.

As the carcass rots, the galvanizing on the wire deteriorates and shortens the life of that portion of the fence. At $12-13K per mile, a rancher doesn't want anything shortening the life of his fences. Never heard of that, we have a fence row that my grandad started hanging coyotes on as did my dad and I have for the past 20 yrs. We kill an average of 80 coyotes per year. That fence is still there, with we'll over 60 yrs of dead coyotes. Most the ranchers in our area ask us to hang them on the fence. We had an area about 5yrs ago that had a write up in the paper because of 96 coyote hung on the fence down a countr rd. But to answer the original question. Most ranchers that call and ask for our help have had problems with smaller livestock missing chickens, sheep, calvs, with an occasional watermelon farmer too. Coyotes are also pretty hard on turkeys and fawns. Being that it doesn't really get cold enough in our area to have good pelt there is no money in the hides, so it's either throw them in a bone pit, or hang them on the fence.
