Ok I've had this deer on camera for two months it's a very distinct buck. The property I had him on is 10 small acres of private land surrounded by city property. Poaching is terrible in the area. That being said there is a guy showing pictures of the deer I fed around town saying he was killed 15 miles south of where I have him on game camera. The guy knows he has been caught all he could say when confronted is I'll be damned. Should we turn him in? What do y'all think?

I think yes. If he gets away with it this time, he'll do it again. Not saying it will stop the problem, but if enough poachers got squeezed a little it might help slow it down. Besides that, you could get a little satisfaction out of it!

What's the chances of him legally shooting this brute? Outside of that city area, is there anywhere he could've actually shot him? I'm just asking If he did poach, bust his arse! He's nothing but a lowlife anyway and he deserves what he gets.

Turn him in - as others have said letting him get away with it will only encourage him and those like him to keep poaching.

He's nothing but a lowlife anyway and he deserves what he gets. Maybe one property but it's wide open fields. But if he did shoot it legally why lie and say he shot it 15 miles away

Turn him in, you can get reward...Don't worry he will have to pay the reward money back to TPWD in court costs and fines. Will help recoup some of the feed bill and or pay for a better fence around your place...

If you have to ask what we think, then you're in doubt if the guy is really poaching.

You can try to bust him, just not sure you have enough evidence to do so. A GW didn't catch him and you have no proof of where he actually shot it at. He can change his story and lie thru his teeth about it.
He may be guilty of poaching but without solid evidence he will just walk away.

If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

Few years ago out in Eastland County there was a guy doing the same thing. Shooting big bucks across fence lines and from roads. Unfortunately, the photos he showed around the area were just not enough proof to bust him but ranch owners and wildlife managers knew what he was doing. One deer was 174" and had been seen on 2-3 different ranches. He produced a pic with the deer saying he shot it 7 miles away. Everyone's BS meter went off !
