I have recently taken my largest buck so far but unfortunately I wasn't able to recover him until the next day and coyotes got ahold of him that night so I lost his cape And I truly believe this buck deserves a shoulder mount and it would be my first... I heard through my girlfriends dad that I can take them another cape or some taxidermists might have some on hand. Pretty much what I'm wondering is if anybody knows of any good taxidermists around dfw and if what I was told above was possible. Like I said this is my first and honestly will probably be the largest buck I ever take so if anyone has any pics, ideas or leads it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead and sorry for the long post lol this is just really important to me

Sorry about losing your buck to the coyotes. Not familiar with any taxis up there but any reputable one up there should have extra capes on hand for sale. Good luck in your search.

Hey Senko. I tried to send you a PM. Congrats on you kill. I am sorry about the coyotes. Yes, if you take your horns to a taxidermist, they should be able to help you out. We usually all have some extra capes. I am more than willing to help you out. Although I am toward Greenville and not sure i you want to drive that far. My husband is a Richardson Firefighter and you could meet with him if that would work for you. Let me know if that doesn't and I will try to research taxi's in your neck of the woods. Just too early in the morning to think. Hahaha

Check with the meat processors in your area. They can get you a cap
