Opener was great. Had hard north wind and was forced to hunt the south side, not a good feeling. I knew there was a big body of fresh rain water holding many birds just south of us. Sure enough they came along. We got out of the blind and lined up along the levee and just picked em off as they came by. It was just like a dove hunt, except for ducks. Finished in about 30 minutes or so. 2 members of the club each got a trophy duck. One member got a cinnamon and the other got a canvasback. Sorry for not having the cinnamon in the pic, it was quickly wrapped up and headed straight for the taxi before we got the cameras out...and before anybody says anything, yes there is a coot in the pic.  Sunday was a little different. Went to the same place since we didn't have any wind. Had 3 of the same 4 guys so they were pretty excited. This time we got to shoot em over the decoys, didn't start to shoot anything until the sun came out. We finished at 8:30. Saw a lot more snow geese as well.

Nice! There was a small influx of Snows from Saturday to Sunday for sure.

How did the cinny look this early? Mix of light brown and red colors. Not the best looking. He mounted it just because you don't get em everyday
