So I was reading up on the whole smoking your hunting clothes thing in order to mask your scent and came across a thread on another forum about a guy who claimed that he use to go to his neighbors deer pens and if he forgot to remove his cigarettes from his pocket, the deer would dang near jump on him to get at the cigarettes. He also claimed that an unfiltered Lucky Strike was the choice cigarette. He said you could throw a bunch of cigarettes on the ground and only have one Lucky Strike in there and they would shove each other out of the way to get the Lucky Strike first then eat the rest. So I Googled "Deer Eating Cigarettes" and came across a news story about two young men in Whitehouse, TX that were attacked for their cigarettes last year while leaving their house. A buck injured 5 officers during the ordeal and stole the cigarettes out of the truck the young men were fleaing to. So I guess my question is has anybody ever baited deer with cigarettes?

Look up online the story from last year of a guy in Whitehouse that was getting in his truck at dark and a large buck attacked him and pinned him inside of the cab. Took his cigarette package and run off!!

Nah. Cigarettes cost more than corn.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

Tabacco is a hard habit to break, even for deer.

My father in law claims he used to always park his truck turn the radio on real low crack the windows and fire up a joint and always killed deer from it!

Another guy I used to know back in my stoner days said he was sitting in a blind with a quarter pound in his pocket and it drew in a lot of deer.

I do know donkeys love tobacco I watched my dad feed a cigarette to one when I was little.

Personally I call BS mabey some younger deer will come to check out the smell or noise but that big boy is gonna steer clear, I smoke (trying to quit) and I've killed tons of deer but as of this season I only smoke e cigs in the blind, I have a tobacco flavored, spearmint, and a Mary Jane flavored one (no I haven't smoked pot in years but it taste like in actually smoking something) I'm hoping it will cut down on my scent in the blind.

My grandpa used to smoke a pipe and he would always have doe come up with thin a few feet or even closer and be smelling that sweet smell of the tobacco he smoked . When i used to smoke i never really worried about it it never seemed to bother them at all .
One time when i was about ten and me and my mom was setting in a blind that was about three feet off the ground and there was not much of a door on it and my mom had here foot sticking out some and had a doe come up an smell of her foot but she was eating an apple so that might had something to do with that.

Wow! I would have never thought that deer liked tobacco. I'm just gonna take down my deer feeder and replace it with an open can of Copenhagen.
