I hope they're moving good. The moon isn't supposed to be very advantageous. Brand new property and probably won't shoot anything this year, besides an obvious cull or doe. Just want to see what all is on the place.

I hunted about 5 miles north of Coleman. Saw 4 Friday at the feeder and then a yr old spike Sat morning but that was it. Not sure how much effect my dancing around stomping on all of the Yellow Jackets Friday afternoon had on my weekend. I fought'em all day sat too! Ugh! What a weekend. I was looking for a nice relaxed hunting weekend and all I did was work!

Im right outside of Gouldbusk and i have never seen so many dang bees on opening weekend in my life... it was miserable

In regards to the deer, no rut activity for us yet. Saturday morning i had two 2.5 year old bucks eating together under the feeder. Saturday evening i had 4-5 doe and one 3 yr 8pt all under the feeder... they were not skiddish at all w/ the buck being there and he paid them no mind. All were only concerned about eating.

Sat. evening, yellow jackets, wasps, flies and mosquitos were at my stand, bout drove me nuts. As far as the rut, not even close to rutting where I am.

I have to agree about the bugs, I went through two cans of wasp spray on my stand alone this weekend. As far as the deer go, I saw deer every hunt at the feeder, and most were all young bucks still moving together. No activity yet!

from NW Coleman county....we must have killed hundreds of wasps in blinds and around camp...they're really bad this year....

Deer were moving really well Saturday evening and Sunday morning...did see some young bucks trailing does but no real rutting activity yet.

I am west close to novice. They bucks were chasing the doe pretty good. I saw a large number of deer compared to previous years. Many young bucks. Only had 2 that were boarder line mature. I let them walk. Sure wish I could have stayed longer.

We hunt the same area, right close to Novice. Couldn't agree with your statement anymore. Going to try to head back out this weekend to see whats moving.

Luckily not having the wasp problem everyone else seems to be having.

I saw a bunch of deer yesterday afternoon. I hunt close to Hords Creek Lake. No chasing here.

I am just north of o h ivie and we didn't see any signs of the rut this weekend. Mightly little deer movement at all. Saturday night we drove from the lake to coleman and back and only saw 3-4 deer on the sides of the road where we normally see 20-30

I'm on the north shore of Ivie and there was no sign of the rut this past weekend.

Younger bucks chasing but the older mature bucks still just interested in eating everything in sight to put on the weight before the rut.

We did drop 2 big mature deer but neither showed any interest in chasing or tending does.

First real activity I have seen since the opener. I saw a 2.5 ur old 8 pt trotting with his tounge hangin out like a fool in love... ran right under the feeder and kept on trucking. Then exactly 3 minutes passed lst a solid mature 8 pt came to check a scrape. Watched him paw the ground for 30 seconds or so and walk off. This scrape happens to be right next to the feeder and he never stopped to eat.

I'm west of Novice. Due to the moon, 80% of my pics have been at night. Went out Monday evening and saw little movement.
