A+ for me. I got my #1 buck and a pig opening day.

Last year it took all season and almost ran out of time on my buck, my doe and a pig. Could have shot a doe pretty much any time but the mature bucks and pigs eluded me.

It was great, saw bucks every hunt and tons of yearlings. The big doe are hiding out and when one was seen normally a buck wasn't far behind. Gotta love being in woods this time of year especially .

I saw the buck I wanted Friday evening and then never again. Coulda shot a doe that was at my feeder for at least half an hour Saturday morning, but passed on it. Did kill a hog Friday evening. Didn't fall outa my blind, trip over anything, or get bit by anything and had a pretty good time. I'd rate it as a 7.3 out of 10. I'll be back!

B+ I saw 7 bucks only one was a shooter. It was the one I had promised my daughter. I wish she would have been in the stand with me. This weekend we'll make it happen.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

AA- here. Saw some great young bucks and got a no-doubter on camera. Lots of deer moving, food plots looking good and spent some quality time with the wife in the blind. Would have been AAA if I had put eyes on the big boy.

It was just as Sh#*ty as last year. Didn't see anything but a damn coyote and a rabbit. Others saw a couple of doe and yearlings. Nothing on camera except pigs.

If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Holy smokes. Did you never think to check your stand prior to opening morning. That seems like a year long collection of yellow jackets. That pic is exactly why I started spending a little coin for sealed up blinds!!

On a good note, there were no wasps, bees, or snakes in my blind! Just some spiders.

This...nothing should matter more than just being able to get out and enjoy what God has created. Every year it keeps getting better and better because I am lucky to have my health and ability to take my family out to enjoy.

F F F. Worst opener ever. Tried to hold a sneeze in Saturday morning in stand, damn bad idea, blew a rear seal. That ended hunt early opening morning. Hershey squirts all weekend. Did shoot a doe Saturday evening, but blood trail dried up after about 75yds. She was at an angle when I shot. Never found her. Should of just popped her behind the ears I guess. Crappy weekend, but better now on Monday at work. flush bang

This is actually a stand that doesn't get hunted much. I went to top off the feeder there and just happened to check it. That dude is ready to be hunted now.

Fair to say it was a good weekend.. I was only able to hunt Saturday, but in the hours i got, i saw bucks and does, but never had a decent shot. non the less it was good to get out there, get a little action and let the anticipation build up to knocking one down this year.

Great, A+ weekend. Shot 2 does and got the big 10 (we think 5.5 yr old) that I saw the last night of doe/spike season in January. We've been trying to get a good look at him for two years. Last year he went from the middle of November to the middle of January without being seen once. Sunday morning, he and two 13-14" 8 pointers were working a doe near my dad's stand. My dad shot the doe but missed the buck, who over the next hour makes about a 1200 yard semi-circle over to my blind. My dad kept calling me on my cell with updates about where he was. All I had to do was sit tight and make the shot when he finally came out of the brush about 100 yards away. I didn't officially score him but he'll be right at 130 with an 18" inside spread. Will post a picture later if I can.

One of the does was really interesting. I hit her a little forward through both shoulders. I tracked her about 70-80 yds into a cedar thicket and all of a sudden the monster blood trail just disappears. After scouting and analyzing for about 15-20 minutes I put it together that she doubled back down her own trail about 20 yards and then went a different direction.

It was great to be back in the stand.

I'll say B. Deer activity was fairly limited, but I did film one really nice mature buck.
