Anyone have any success out there this weekend? Were they showing any ruttin' signs yet?
Our weekend was unusually slow and actually depressing. The deer didn't seem to be moving very well and the number of shots heard was relatively low.

Bucks were running does hard Sunday morning just north of Hamilton. Lots of small bucks were on the move Sunday morning and one good shooter showed late Sunday evening. Never got a shot oppurtunity as they were all running the does like crazy. Does were very spread out as they are normally grouped at our place.

Hunt in Coryell County near Jonesboro. Saw plenty of deer (bucks and does) Sat and Sun. Saw 3 nice 8pt deer that got a pass because I am waiting on something bigger. Saw 2 small deer try to chase after the girls but they were doing the JR high I am interested thing and the girls wanted nothing to do with them...

Right outside of the city of Hamilton, bucks were in complete rut. Chasing tail all over the place. We're seeing bucks we've never seen on camera or anything before. Lots of shooting around us, so I'm assuming we aren't the only ones with good results.

southern end of the county near Topsey. Deer were all over the place. Best activity I've had in years.

We saw the young bucks interested in chasing does but nothing mature seemed to be to interested yet. Hunting near Levita.

At south purmela, young bucks were running does around. Mature ones would for a minute then get destracted by the oats. Had 3 mature deer in the field and they let giving each other the stink eye. Thought I was gonna get to see a fight but Aparently we need a little more time
