I keep the lease truck at the lease (f150) And after two years the rats have found it. I have some vacume lines that have bee chewed....
Must question is this what can I do to keep them out from under the hood.

Put some diesel in a cup with a rag. They dont like the smell of it. I do this on my ranger and i leave the hood up.

Nothing I've ever tried works.

Leave hood up. I have not had a single one under the hood on my hunting jeep. They did find the plug wires on my honda the first day I was there though I did not raise the hood on it though

Take 3 or 4 Bounce dryer sheets and fold them over a few times, run a piece of wire around the middle and put them under the hood. Works great. The smell lasts a long time and the rats/mice hate it.

if it weren't for the damn gummint, you could buy those packs of blue rat poison at the feed store. it can still be bought in a bulk pack for about $60.00 . about 20 years worth. need to have a group buy and split it up.

I was getting eaten alive tonight by skeeters and my wife said to grab a dryer sheet and wipe it on me and put it in my back pocket. I will be dammed, it worked

Try "Cab Fresh". Tractor Supply sells it. It was devised by some farmers to keep the rodents out of their equipment during the off season....it doesn't smell top bad either.
