I scan this section quite a bit and get good information so thought I would share the results of a bullet I found this weekend. I shot a buck at about 70 yards with a 150 gr hornady interbond blemished Midway USA bullet. It entered and shattered a rib took out the heart and was found under the skin of the opposite leg. I weighed the bullet and it came in at 120.7 gr. That is about 80% of its original weight. I was surprised it did not completely pass through the deer. Did not know if others had experience with these bullets.

I ordered some .277" blems a few years ago for my personal 270 Win ammo. It shoots very well, and provides great performance. The interbond bullet is similar to the Nosler Accubond. The 150 is pretty fast for the 308, so you will get less penetration. But it sounds like the bullet did fine.

I don't have a chronograph but I am runnig a hot load of RL15. Would slowing these down increase penetration?

My experience has been that reducing velocity does improve penetration when using fairly soft bullets. Obviously, you don't want to reduce velocity below the bullet's expansion threshold. A "hot" .308 load of a 150 grain bullet might be as much as 2900 fps. Dropping that velocity to 2600 fps should profoundly improve penetration.

Yes, but I wouldn't change a thing.
