Just curious to see when most of you see the most deer? More in morning or afternoon?
Too me, regardless of where I've hunted, seems like most deer I see are in the afternoon hours, and also taken most of my deer in the afternoon, with last 3 taken between 5:00 & 6:00pm.

I normally see more in mornings but it goes back and forth. Yesterday morning saw seven bucks, no does, yesterday evening 8-9 bucks and no does. Today 5-6 bucks and one yearling doe.

Night. Really, if I haven't seen anything after, say, 7:30 AM, there likely won't be any spotted until about 7:00 PM. YMMV.

Yesterday morning was dead until 930. Last night was busy from 4 to dark. Still moving good this morning.

Most of my action is in the mornings here. Had a doe at feeder and 6point just ran her off just now.

Really depends on the ranch as to which is better hunting.

On average, I see more deer in the afternoon than mornings, but mornings have produced better deer on average than afternoons.

I saw probably 20 deer yesterday morning, and about half bucks, up until around 11:00 A.M. and I left and went back around 3 P.M.
The first deer I saw stepped out at 5:00 P.M. and then basically the same deer I saw in the morning came out all the way until dark.
Not much shooting in the morning, but yesterday evening the surrounding ranches got noisey. My bet is mostly hogs.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Follow-up question to this one. Instead of posting it here, I made a new thread, located here:

On cam, I see most deer from 9-12. In stand I've seen them around then and the hour before dusk.

Thru bow season and this past weekend we have been seeing more deer in the morning hunts than in the afternoon.
This weekend we actually saw bucks bird dogging some does and we saw a bunch of does just running around like they were being chased.
Most of the activity was after 8:00 AM. Very few came to the feeders.
We shot one good buck Saturday morning and his tarsal glands were black and smelled very strong, good indication he was rutting

I'd say it was about 50/50 for the weekend.

I most always just see deer in evening, mainly does. The deer I see in morning are all usually bucks, but its usually post rut, early December. Every area is different.
