So I'm sitting in my neighbors duck blind deer hunting when a banded mallard lands at 30 yards. All I have with me is a .22 mag.

the question is a shoot or no shoot situation?

^ yeah, doesn't matter except for that one law that says only shotgun and archery. But who needs that law anyway?

Not entirely sure why deer are being hunted with a .22 mag also... To each their own though...

Wouldn't a .22 shot shell be better?
What is the range on those anyway??

Funny thing about getting older:
Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to
see through people's BS gets much better.

Why are you using a 22 to shoot deer if you aren't poaching?

Now why do you have to go and put a label on things? I'm just asking about shooting a duck and you're all johny law. What the heck. Can't a man just enjoy the outdoors without some city boy going and getting all up in his business?

Ah, well since you put it that way. It's cause I have sensitive hearing. Or maybe so my neighbor don't hear when I'm hunting his favorite hole. Either one will work.

Catch 22. I'm surprised you even posted this thread.
