Happy opening day eve fellow deer hunting brethren. Yeah yeah, I know some of you primitive types and zoo managers  have been hunting for a month, blah blah blah. But tomorrow is the traditional, official opening day of deer season. My phone is ringing off the hook, projects are stacking up, clients are asking about my availability over the weekend, and the wifey is hinting at the possibility of my not leaving for the ranch until tomorrow morning. But no matter what, I'm pulling the plug on all that stuff come 8pm and making the drive up to my happy place. Godspeed and let's kill some stuff dammit!

Well sorry to burst your bubble but I started on Sept. 16th in Kansas with a ML. This opener is not really the official opener for me. But I will take it.

I've been now hunting for almost a month and have been skunked every time. I was glad to see our youth weekend be successful. My "opening day eve" will be spent working and wishing Hannah her 4th birthday. One day, we'll have a hunt scheduled for a birthday present.
