man 22 is still out of control? What the heck

They have it on the shelf at my local Walmart several mornings each week now. It sells out late morning/early afternoon. Last Friday they had (12) bulk boxes of 1,000 rounds of Winchester M22 for $48. each and (16) bricks of Winchester 555 rounds.

Yesterday, they had a bunch of CCI Mini Mag and Stinger in the plastic trays and (20) boxes of 325 Federal Automatch.

You can find .22lr in a lot of places, but I prefer to pay Walmart prices.

I was in Edmonton Alberta 3 weeks ago and 22 ammo was hanging off the shelves. Cabelas Edmonton had the 1400 count Remington buckets stacked high wide and deep. It remains a US fear based reaction by folks being afraid of their govt. Seems they would redistribute some of that inventory south.

Gus, I stop by at 7:00 to 7:15 AM weekdays on my way to work. The ammo shipments come in every night, sometimes it's a jackpot and sometimes it's only 12/20 ga. The sporting goods employee's generally get there at 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. I did stop by this morning for other reasons, but saw nothing new on the shelf - but didn't ask.

Always ask if they have stocked the ammo from the previous night - several times they have responded with: "Oh, good point, I didn't check yet."

They tell me that the popular stuff is long gone by mid to late morning.

That is interesting, my wife stops almost everyday and she said it was bare as a bone yesterday. That was just a few minutes after you were there. I would give anything if this would all settle down and get back to normal.
