One of our members was at the lease last weekend and did not see any chasing. Still saw bucks running together. He did see a few ground scrapes. Won't be long now.

Awesome, I've been up twice for bow season and all the deer were under the trees filling up on acorns, nothing was coming to the feeders.. Just wondering if a buck grunt would work right now?

Our deer were off feeders too. I had him pull my camera cards and bring them home with him and over the last few days there are more and more deer on the feeders. Acorns must be running out around my place. Buck Grunt might work for you, sure won't hurt anything to try it.

I just left fredericksburg area and buck were resdponding to calls, does were skiddish, and buck were chasing. Opening weekend should be getting real close if not full rut.

Buck came in to the Can call every time. Didn't really respond to the grunt. I heard bucks grunting and roaring like a big bore hog. I spent the last week at at the lease the longer we were there the more mature bucks we saw.

In central Edwards plateau region the rut peaks about thanksgiving. You'll start to see activity a few weeks before and after that though.

Depends on your location in the Hill Country. In northern Kendall and parts of Gillespie/Blanco counties the rut started in mid October. It has for a very long time. Other areas will be from first of Nov to first of December.

I'm off hwy41 past garvin store towards rocksprings. Off fairview rd. great area. Big deer country for the hills. I have stands set for a south and north wind. So I don't mind it blowing from either. Just hope this front will get them moving.
I live in springbranch comal county on a ranch. And the rut is on heavy. I've been on call from work for a week now and hunted every day. There's a big high fence ranch on my back border and I have a blind not far from there and I've been calling in monster bucks all week with a grunt and doe bleat and rattlin. Awesome to see these monsters come in looking for a fight just wish they were on my side of the fence. So far on my side only called in small young bucks and spikes. But none of them have came in range.
