Just got rid of my Yeti and wanting to buy a Brute, the 75QT seems Perfect but for not much more i can get the 100QT but i am worried it will be way to unpractical and bulky. do any of you have experience in 75QT or 100QT Brute Box?

I will be using it mostly for the deer lease and camping so i would love the capacity of the 100QT, but at the same time i can take the 75QT or at least in my opinion take the 75QT to many more places with ease and handle it by myself vs the 100 QT. I also love to live by the rule of "better to have it and not need it, then need it and not have it" and would love the extra capacity of the 100QT. YOUR OPINIONS?

I've got the 100qt and it just fits in my jeep. Loaded with deer and ice you almost need a forklift.

How big was your Yeti?

As far as cooler size there is no one size fits all size...that's whey they make a bunch of different sizes. So the answer is to buy a few in various sizes. This might take a few years. In that case i'd suggest going with a 75 over a 100 at this point. There will be more times than not that you won't need the bigger size and a cooler that is not full of contents and ice is not as efficient.

I have Yeti's that I've "won" over the years at DU events. I say won because I've more than paid for them but whatever. I have a 25, 45 and 65. Depending on what I'm doing I'll use different ones at different times. I also have a 90qt coleman extreme and rarely use it. I hunt, camp, and do other stuff to the point that at least one cooler is being used every week. For camping trips many times I'll just take the 65...if it's a longer trip I'll also take one of the others. I'd almost rather use two coolers than one big one. Reason being is you might have one cooler where you are going to access it more often and that would cause melt faster. The second cooler stays closed and holds ice longer. Also it's easier to move two coolers than one big one. If you get a 100qt Brute just know that once it's full you will pretty much need to keep it where you filled it until you empty it because even with two people it won't be fun to move.

Very True Marcstar, i have a Coleman xtreme that actually keeps ice very well and i think i will just buy the 75Q Brute or get another Yeti in 75QT and take both of them, fill one with beer and drinks and the other with food. Thanks!

Can't speak for the Brute, but I had/have a 65, 75, 110, 125, and 160 Yeti.

There is a big difference between the 75 and 125 Yeti as far as size. I'd get the bigger cooler to use at the deer lease because the 75 is still going to be too big to use as a daily cooler for drinks unless you leave it in your truck. Meaning you aren't going to fill it up and want to move it around. That's the main reason I went back to a 65 after I sold mine and got the 75. Now I have both. A 65 is about as big as I want to fill and move around with any regularity.

75 qt. Brute AND get a smaller cooler. Coleman Xtreme 65 is a good choice. Much easier doing the 2 cooler thing than that 100 qt. Monster.!! IMHO!!!!!

I have a 75qt Brute. I use it to carry a deer home in it. My 120qt Yeti is to heavy to handle by myself. So I normally have my 45qt Yeti and 75qt Brute in the truck when I head out for the weekend hunt.

I bought my first Yeti a few months ago for a buddy as a gift and since using it and seeing how awesome they are I have bought 5 more. I have 2 for myself and 2 more for my Dad and brother. I have a Yeti Roadie 20 and a Tundra 45. My buddy got the 65 and for me is really is about the max size to easily carry around. If I need more than that much stuff to stay cold for that long I would just buy an extra fridge. Those things get heavy loaded with ice and drinks!

Brute makes a great product, and their customer service is second to none. Had a minor issue with my 75 and happened to be in Ft. Worth on business, so I went by their warehouse and they replaced it on the spot, no issues. That kind of service will keep me as a customer. 25 qt. on the short list to go with my 75.
